Finally the day is here. I've decided to take all of my hard work on the Drupal site for 4minds and move it live for the world to see. Being that I've spent the past 10 years or so working on scripts for the web and having to tackle all of the complexities that come with building secure sites, I was strongly attracted to Drupal at first sight.
Drupal offered what I was looking for in terms of security (I can control who sees what when they log in), and it is modular. The best part about the modules is that you don't have to write your own very often. The user community has probably already thought of a solution to your problem and has posted a module on the drupal.org site. I did however find myself needing the duplicate the functionality of my former Weboffice Portal page into a Drupal module. So I decided to take on that development myself, having little working knowledge of the API interface. The result will be available online in the Drupal CVS shortly.
In the mean time, take a look around, open your own account and start blogging with me. Contribute content and discussions. If you have some good code to share with the community, post it here. If you need some, then try out the search box to see if you can find something of interest. Send me some feedback if you find the site useful, or if you just want to strike up some friendly conversation.
Thanks for reading!
